So much for the end of the blog in its current form. I’m not talking about the so-called "end of the world" that was supposed to happen today, but rather the re-launch.  Unfortunately, due to some technical issues at my hosting company, LexBlog, the relaunch has been pushed back a week or two.

Which just gives me time to say thank you to all the people who showed up yesterday at our firm’s half-day seminar on employment law.  It was a sold-out, standing-room only event, and — according to the feedback we’ve been getting — was very well received.

The highlights of the day included a morning presentation by Rep. Joe Courtney and lunch talk by Deputy Labor Commissioner Dennis Murphy.  Rep. Courtney highlighted some of the big victories that the Connecticut delegation has brought back to Connecticut that is helping to stabilize the manufacturing and defense industry jobs that are so vital to the state.

We are very grateful that each took time out of their day to talk with our clients and friends.

For those that couldn’t make it, we are scheduling another session for employers on October 21, 2011 at the Trumbull Marriott. Due to the high demand, we will have a registration process so you can look for details on that over the summer, but save the date if you have an interest.
